Insurance, shown the way a bank shows assets

Insurance is the part of financial services nobody wants to look at. GrovesJohnWestrup, a specialist insurance broker and Munich Re subsidiary, insures people for whom that is a problem: ultra-high-net-worth clients whose belongings are a portfolio, and who are hard to reach in person because some of them are sailing nine months a year.
The brief
The brief: a portal where brokers and their clients see insured assets the way a private bank shows holdings. Not a claims form. Not a policy PDF. The first question on screen is what you own, not what it costs.
How we got there
We started with a mood board and a design study, concrete screens that showed how the portal would look and feel before anything was specified. That early visual alignment is what made the rest of the project a series of decisions rather than a series of debates, and it is why GJW chose a boutique partner for it.
The result
The result is a high-end broker platform with a design system underneath it, so the next asset class, the next report, the next regulatory disclosure fits into the same calm visual language instead of breaking it. Premium is not the launch screen. It is still looking that way after release 1.1.
